I create hand-painted pet portraits in gouache, working from your photographs to capture both likeness and personality.
Portraits are painted at A4 size for £130 plus postage. All paintings are delivered mounted and unframed. Gouache allows for rich colour, fine detail, and a soft matte finish.
To create the best portrait possible, I ask for a small selection of clear photographs rather than a single image. Different angles, expressions, and lighting help me build a more accurate sense of your dog’s features and character.
You do not need professional photographs — clear phone photos in good natural light are often perfect.
Good reference photos include:
- Clear focus on the eyes and face
- Natural lighting where possible
- A variety of expressions or angles
- Photos that show your dog’s typical personality
If you are unsure whether your photos are suitable, feel free to send them before booking. Once reference photos are agreed, I will confirm booking and begin the portrait.
Typical turnaround time is approximately 2–4 weeks.
